Traumatic Injury with fly-out

Approximately 1pm, Delmar Fire Dept, Sussex County EMS 102 and Delaware State Police Aviation unit were dispatched for a traumatic injury, a long fall. Delmar Paramedic A-74 and SCEMS Medic 102 treated the patient until the arrival of DSP Helicopter Trooper 2. Care was transferred to Trooper 2 and the patient was transported by helicopter to Christiana Medical Center. Southbound Sussex Highway was closed to land the helicopter and transfer the patient.
