Engine/Truck Assist on Hebron House Fire

While members attended the monthly meeting, Wicomico Central alerted Station 5 (Hebron) for the structure fire on Grove Street in the heart of town. The assignment also brought in Station 9 (Mardela) and Delmar. Engine Tanker 74-2 and Truck 74 responded with a total of 13 volunteers. Engine Tanker 74-2 arrived and found a quick knock by Station 5's initial engine crew. The crew from 74-2 entered division one through the rear and encountered moderate fire in the first floor kitchen area. Truck 74 arrived and split their crew, half going to the roof and the other half pulling shingles on the outside. Both crews worked for just over two hours in below freezing tempatures. Crews returned to station just after 2200 hours.
