First due house fire
Saturday, September 12, 2015

First due house fire for Delmar. Station 74 Delmar was initially alerted single station for an appliance fire in a residence on E. Walnut Street. The call was quickly upgraded to a house fire which added Stations 2 Salisbury, 5 Hebron, 6 Parsonsburg and 81 Laurel to the alarm. Delmar Engine Co 74-3 arrived first and found smoke showing. Engine 3's crew found an electrical fire from a clothes dryer had  extended into the wall. After extinguishing visible fire, firefighters opened the wall and searched the attic for extension. Thank you to fellow firefighters from Hebron and Parsonsburg for your assistance on-scene and to Salisbury Truck 1 for standing-by at Delmar firehouse.

Here is a short video of Hebron E-507 and Parsonsburg E-605 arriving on-scene: https://youtu.be/agRTfx0_EkQ
