The Delmar Fire Department was alerted for a structure fire on North Second St. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke conditions coming from the 2nd floor of the structure. Engine 74-3 put two hose lines in service while Truck 74 began setting up in case the ladder would be needed. Interior crews encountered heavy fire in a single room on the 2nd floor. Crews were assisted by Station 81 Laurel and Salisbury Sta.2. Station 6 Parsonsburg was transferred to 74 for a stand by. Command put the alarm under control in about 30 mins later. Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
